Gearing up
So yesterday I managed to finish the syllabi for the spring courses (although I still need to prep for the first day -- one class is a 3-hour one, so there has to be actual content, groan). Today I read (reread, really) the book that one class will be using. Still need to start on the books for the other class (again, a reread). Also need to set up the class websites, but that will be tomorrow.
Having done as much as I did, I toddled off to the second-run cinema and saw Across the Universe, which was definitely not quite what I expected (having only seen previews and read no reviews). However since I adore the Beatles, I enjoyed it nonetheless. Well worth my $1.25.
Ooh, I have to thank jelazakazone for the card, too, which arrived yesterday but I didn't post last night.
The
merry_smutmas reveals are up, and it was joanwilder who wrote me the amazing "Occam's Razor." *g* Which I plan to reread as soon as I finish reading all the darned fics I haven't even read once yet.
I can also now claim my own story:
