I'm slightly stymied on writing just at the moment, so I decided to take a look at my AO3 hits, going down to stories with 500+. There were more than I expected.

What I'm curious about is how hit counts correlate (or not) with what your favorite stories are. I still need to do that post myself.

The hit count-favorite correlation is not strong. Maybe a third of the ones listed here I like quite a lot (i.e. am proud of and sometimes will re-read just for my own enjoyment). The others vary, and there's a couple where I just have to go *bzuh?* because to me they are far from my best work. (Not bad - I don't put anything out there if I think it's actually bad - just noticeably flawed in some way, to me anyhow.)

Yeah, what strikes me as most interesting is not what gets the most hits, in general.

Kudos tend to be a much better correlation for me.

Kudos don't actually correlate very well for me, either. I suspect the smut quotient complicates things.

Probably, as long as there's not a tight deadline - I have all kinds of weird extra stuff at work for the next couple of weeks, plus my MIL visiting next week for 5 days. *g* But you know I am usually happy to beta for you if I can.
