Finally got back to yoga today; I can already tell that I'm going to be sore tomorrow. Sigh. That's what happens with a hiatus of several months. (I mean, I'm usually a little sore after yoga, but this is definitely going to be more than that.)

CSA was relatively small this week (after last week's big one): ~2 lb. sweet potatoes, 3 large turnips (greens pretty sketchy), 6 green tomatoes, bunch green onions, 2 baby summer squash. The sweet potatoes will wait (along with last week's), also some of the turnips (since I still have some from last week), and probably the squash since it's not enough to do anything much with. Unless I toss it in the shrimp stir-fry...

All cooking will happen tomorrow this week. I'm making pork chops & rice to take for lunches this week. Tomorrow we'll have hot & sour soup, shrimp with snow peas, rice, and mandarin oranges. Then Monday it'll be chicken Costa del Sol, couscous, and carrots & neeps. Tuesday, battered fish fillets (from frozen), oven fries, fried green tomatoes (for which I will have to find a recipe), and pomegranate (2 for $3, large ones, at the supermarket this week). Lather, rinse, and repeat for the rest of the week.

After yoga, we went to the bakery on the way home as usual. Many additional errands: Asian grocery, library, Target, health food store, two grocery stores (did bank stuff at one of them), took car through car wash, bought gas. Phew. Also five loads of laundry; the last two are in the washer and dryer right now. Right now I'm heating up last week's gumbo and miscellaneous leftover veggies for dinner, and then I think I will take a break and maybe read or watch a film or something.

Besides cooking tomorrow I really want to finally tape the section of the upstairs that I plan to paint first. SO kept asking what he could do to help today; I said, "Take the huge things of paint to be shaken up again." Not that he has done this (he was working on a class assignment all day), but maybe I can poke him again tomorrow to do it.

Oh yay, time change tonight, so an extra hour of sleep...
