Saturday was the usual busy-chore day, with dog-walking, yoga, errands, and seven (!) loads of laundry. Sunday I didn't do a lot except henna my hair and do a little cooking; mostly I read and talked with my mom. Oh, we did walk Juno twice Sunday, as it was quite cold so we couldn't leave the back door open and it was too chilly for even SO to spend more than a couple of hours on the porch (and that wrapped in a blanket).
This week's menus: I made
tuna-macaroni salad to bring for lunches this week, as a change from ham sandwiches. SO will be having
retro turkey loaf several times while I have
kalua pig from the freezer. Tonight will be
crunchy-topped fish, as frozen tilapia was on special at one of my stores. I think I might have some old pesto lurking in the freezer, so perhaps I'll cook up some pasta (IIRC there's penne in the pantry) and toss with pesto to go with the fish. Other sides this week are baked potatoes, asparagus, acorn squash, broccoli, grapefruit, and green salad. Last but not least I made
dog biscuits last night, hopefully not over-straining the repaired mixer motor thereby!
As for fandom stuff... well, I owe a tag to
cruisedirector, and I think I finally finished the draft of April's DD this morning - I have a paper copy of all of it up to this morning, to scribble edits on during my desk shift if I can do so discreetly. Hee. Otherwise maybe during lunch break. And I need to work on a non-fic essay that I've promised; I've done some of the background reading and thought about it a bit, but not really begun to write. But that seems reasonable to spend serious work hours on, since it's a professional piece, as long as I keep up with other work tasks.
