help_haiti auction's last hour and a half of bidding happened this morning while I was teaching, of course, so the only bid I had that was still active was overbid during that time frame. By $1. I tried a belated bid, no dice (which is perfectly reasonable, rules are rules).
Dang it.
I realize that any ending point would cause problems for some percentage of people, but naturally I am frustrated that this particular instance was bad for me. If it had been just one hour later, I'd have had a chance.
Will still donate to Doctors Without Borders, mind you; I'd only been waiting to see what happened with this.

Going home now. Still have much to do to get the laptop fully functional again, plus must make black bean salad for dept. potluck tomorrow.
