Prepping like a mad prepping thing
I'm spending much of my Xmas gift $$ on a half-day at a spa (massage/facial/manicure/pedicure), and I thought I had scheduled this for Tuesday - but I got a confirmation phone call this morning, and apparently they had put me down for Monday instead. Which is not a problem, really, since it's MLK Day and I have it off, but meant that I really really wanted to get the class prep for this week done today, so that it would be finished before my big indulgence. I have managed to do most of it; still have some reading to do, and grade the first batches of discussion notes/reading responses for one class, and tomorrow read/tally/comment as needed on the online discussion for 2 classes. This is manageable, though.
Also did a fair amount of cooking, though again, more to do tomorrow (soup and cornbread). Walked Juno with SO in the morning, and played some frisbee in the evening. Talked with my mom for about an hour. That was pretty much it for the day. I still need to scrub out the roasting pan from the chicken & veggies, and then I'm off to bed I think.
Owe replies to comments on my hd_holidays fic, " Fall Apart, Come Together," which hopefully I will have time to do tomorrow, and also repost it. And while I'm at it, a big thank you to bewarethesmirk who wrote " Slick 'n' Easy" for me!
