1. Feist and her album cover The Reminder. It's a fantastic CD and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all. She's got such a lovely, calming voice and her music is a perfect pick me up when I need it most. And if you don't want to dance to 1234, you may be from a different planet.
2. The good Doctor of course. I've had a bit of a thing for Mr Tennant since I first saw Casanova and it just grew when he became the Tenth Doctor. I'll miss him but I welcome the future. But those Converses and geek glasses will have a small place in my fandom heavy heart for a long time.
3. My 2nd favourite movie of all time, Amelie. I'd be lying if I said this was just a movie to me - it genuinely changed my life. It made me want to change the world, to change people's lives and to spread happiness across the world. The sheer beauty of the movie still takes my breath away.
4. Milk and the lovely Emile Hirsch. I might be becoming obsessed with this film. I'm counting down the days until the DVD release. It was like Amelie in a way, Harvey Milk just spoke to me (ugh, that sounded cheesy!) and showed how you should never blend in when you want to change the world. On a related note, go onto YouTube and listen to Danny Elfman's score. I'm in love with it, I might actually prefer it to his Burton collaborations!
5. Spirited Away. The genius of Miyizaki and one of the most stunning films you'll ever see.
6. The sadly deceased Carnivale. My favourite TV drama of all time. It was weird, complex, confusing, dark, gripping, tense, exciting and just damn amazing. I'll never ever forgive HBO for cancelling it and leaving it on the biggest freaking cliffhanger ever! If you've never seen it I can't recommend it enough.

1. "Ouy evol I tub."
2. "It's not even a proper novel. It's nothing but an encyclopedia of perversions. Frankly, it even fails as an exercise in craft. The characters are wooden, the diologue is inane. Not to mention the repetition of words like "nipple" and "pikestaff"." (Quills)
3. "I know that I have put you through hell, and I know that I have been one rough pecker. But from here on out, you are all in my cool book."
4. "You know, Mrs. Buckman, you need a license to buy a dog, to drive a car - hell, you even need a license to catch a fish. But they'll let any butt-reaming asshole be a father. "
5. "Ow, you fat penguin!"
6. "How do you teach homosexuality? Is it like French?" (Milk)
7. "Idiot broads! Here we are, all packed, ready to leave for Miami, and what happens? The saxophone runs off with a Bible salesman, and the bass fiddle gets herself pregnant! Beinstock, I ought to fire you!" (Some Like It Hot)
8. "I'm here to become a mere doctor. I'm told that has something to do with healing the sick, which is a pity really, because I find sick people rather revolting."
9. ""From General Li. Dear Son, we're waiting for the Huns at the pass. It would mean a lot if you'd come and back us up." Hmm, that's great, except you forgot, "And since we're out of potpourri, perhaps you wouldn't mind bringing up some." Hello! This is the army! Make it sound more urgent, please! You know what I'm talkin' about?" (Mulan)
10. "Our government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions!" (South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut)
11. "And you know, when you think about it, that's exactly what happens to us when we're born. We're dropped down a random chimney and we have to get on with the strangers we find there. Typical Chesterton there to describe a chimney as a kind of uterus." (Peter's Friends)
12. "Some advice, okay? Just don't point your fuckin' finger at crazy people!"
13. "I was looking for a man... a stranger. No past, no present, no future."
14. "I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend, and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope."
15. "Candlelight, privacy, music. Can't think of a better place for hand-to-hand combat." (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
