Why are scrambled eggs classified as a simple food? Give me a pan, some eggs and oil and I'll single-handedly prove to you that nothing is simple in the culinary world. I bought some eggs because I fancied something simple (ha!) and tasty. I got the instructions all ready off the internet (therein lies the problem!) and began. One burnt pan later...
To be fair, you're supposed to break a few eggs before making an omlette (how ironic) and on the second attempt I managed it! I was so proud of myself I could have taken a picture of it, but don't have a camera. I'm trying desperately to be a domestic goddess but I'm making a mess of it all. I've cooked some nice stuff though, like ratatouille. It looked nothing like it did in the film but it tastes great. I've forzen it for an occasion where I can't be arsed to cook. I'm also marinating some BBQ chicken. Just call me Nigella!
Thought I'd share this moment of embarassment with you all. Today in Gaelic, we were discussing Christmas (Nollaig) and trying to explain to somebody who Bob Cratchit was. Our lecturer then asked us a few Christmas Carol questions, one of which was who was Scrooge's late partner. And what did I shout out? Bob Marley. I got the surname right though but when it dawned on me what I said we all burst into hysterics. Why can't I write good comedy but I can unintentionally make a fool of myself and it can be genius?
And what twunts voted on this list?

There are so many things wrong with these lists that it makes me lose hope in so called comedy fans. I must be in the minority here then when I say that Peter Kay is NOT funny. I just don't get why he's so popular and he certsinly doesn't deserve to be number 1. Nice to see Frankie Boyle, Dawn French and Eddie Izzard up there though. But that least favourite list has some unforgivable things on it. Jo Brand? Jimmy Carr? Paul Merton? I hate this stupid backlash that has fallen on Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross. Yes, they did a stupid thing, but they apologised, and the BBC were more at fault for broadcasting the thing in the first place! The thought that the bloody Daily Mail might actually have some sort of influence on the British public is sickening, even over trivial matters such as TV. Here's to comedy pushing boundaries and sticking two fingers up the racist bigot's arses!
