An end to optimism

Despite my efforts to move forward and leave the negative endings of 2006 behind, 2007 is not starting off in a way to indicate it will be any better.

One of my best friend's dad's died this afternoon. Completly stunned.
For the love of God, will we ever get a break from mourning?!
