I really do need to read more. So, I decided to give writerjenn's Summer Reading challenge a go. I don't know if I'll make it considering the size of most of the books in my TBR pile, but I'm willing to give it a shot.

At some point soon I'm going to have to try and do another count of how many books I've purchased this year. My 2008 total was 54 books and I have the feeling I'm already closing in on that number this year. Hopefully I can increase my amount of reading this year to keep up.

So, even though my TBR pile is quite large I went out and bought some more books today. Five, in fact, bringing my total purchased for the year to 21.

It's only March and I'm closing in on half as many books as I purchased all of last year.

So, it's only the 17th day of the year and I've already purchased 15 books. Ten of those just today alone.

We made the drive into Bingamton to attend the book signing at Waldenbooks. I got to meet Joshua Palmatier (jpsorrow), Patricia Bray (pbray), S.C. Butler (scbutler) and Barbara Campbell. They were all really nice and fun people. There was a good sized crowd ( Read more... )

I must say I'm amazed at how many running Fantasy Series Tor Books has on the shelves. But it was good to see so many other publishers putting out excellent fantasy as well.
