Whoops, so I've gone a while without updating... again. I swear I didn't mean to, but my entries would be filled with boring stuff and that would be, well, boring.
So! To make this less monotonous, have a monkey baby (this makes me laugh every. bloody. time.):
Show me your favourite lolcat/gif/random picture. Just because?
Bullet point time!
1. a) I turned 22 the week before last (thank you so much to those who sent me a message! I'm sorry I've been so slack in thanking you) and it was the first birthday away from my family. Had to happen at some point, right? The Boy gave me season 1 of Packed to the Rafters (HURRAH!) and I have promptly made him and his family all addicted to it. Victory!
b) The Boy's family took me out for dinner though which was lovely (passionfruit souffle FTW) and we had my BFF from high school, and two couples of family friends - one couple of which I'd never met, even though I've heard so much about them. They even brought me a present: a freakin' Tiffany notebook! It's now, like, the most expensive thing I own, lol. Craziness. And the press stud didn't click properly, so we took it back into Tiffany and they need to send it back to NYC to fix it. I'm like, "Dude. It's a notebook." Double craziness!
2. My sister is flying up for a week as of tomorrow, which will be awesome. She's apparently really looking forward to it and I'm trying to plan a loose itinerary: plenty of shopping with money I don't have, haha.
3. Carlton vs Brisbane on Thursday night at the Gabba - IT'S GOING TO BE FREAKING AWESOME. Unless we lose. Then it'll be somewhat less awesome. There's a group of eight of us going and the atmosphere will be fantastic. Except I only just realised we booked them through Brisbane, so being Carlton supporters we'll stick out like sore thumbs. ;)
4. The final scene in this week's 30 Rock has scarred me for life. Not even Jack McBrayer's role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall was this bad! Silver NBC hotpants! Creepy music! Liz spanking him! I feel your fright, Pete Hornberger.
5. Not being able to go to the Comedy Festival this year is killing me. Especially since all my friends back home are going and there are so many good shows I want to see. So we went and bought Stephen K Amos, Arj Barker and Russell Peters on DVD and that will do as a poor substitute. But
tearcreek alerted me to the
Comedy Festival Roadshow, yay!
H'okay, I'm going to go and make Easter biscuits. Just 'cause I can. Ohai, sugar! (Also, I've eaten two three Creme eggs this chocolate egg season. Woe. BUT THEY'RE SO GOOEY.)
