GRAND FINAL DAYYYYYY.
If you've hung around this journal for a few years, you'll vaguely remember that
I go a bit crazy with !!!!!!!'s on that last Saturday of September. This be like our version of the Superbowl, and the entire city goes nuts. Seriously, people actually paint their fences in their teams colours, flags are on cars, posters everywhere. They say that if you want to go shopping and not get crowds, today is the best day of the year because no. one. is. out. shopping.
And unlike those disappointing grand finals where it's a boring, one-sided game, I'm expecting this one to be a bloody ripper. Huzzah! (And no, my team's not even in it. I JUST LOVE TODAY. God knows what will happen when my team do play a Granny again.)
We were going to go to the parade in the city yesterday (what the picture above is of) but it was 13°C/55°F and raining, so... no, we stayed home. I'm not much jealous of the 100,000 people attending today either, considering it's still that temperature, still raining, and a chance of hail and thunder. Ha.
(AM TORN BETWEEN THE CATS OR SAINTS. Saints haven't won since 1966 but Geelong are the deserving team and probably won't have many more chances, unlike St Kilda... so I'm thinking Geelong.)

On another note, went and saw The Script play last night and man, is that Danny O'Donoghue fantastic or what? They all were, really. It was fantastic and now I can't stop listening to them. Almost makes up for not being able to go to Beyonce last week since I was in Hong Kong. (The Boy still went, and was sitting right behind Katie and Suri. Maybe a good thing I wasn't there, since I might have kidnapped Suri due to her cuteness.)
Okay, this post is long-winded and probably doesn't even make sense to 95% of my flist. Have a great Saturday, everyone!
Edit: Don't be surprised if you get a reply to a comment you posted a week ago. I'm seriously behind, sorry!
