About my whereabouts tonight

Nov 17, 2015 08:18

I had tickets for a musical tonight. Of course it's in Paris, in a large venue. They closed down for two days after the attacks but they're reopening tonight. I bought tickets for my mother and sister, too.

I've decided to go. My sister was undecided as of yesterday evening, citing very legitimate reasons. My mother just shrugged and was like, "I don't care," like it's not an important decision despite the context.

I am scared shitless, honestly. I'm probably not going to enjoy the show at all. I suspect the venue will be half empty.

But if I don't go, those assholes win. If I stop living, they win. I can't give them what they want.

Should anything happen tonight, which is so unlikely, I'll be at the Dome de Paris, also called the Palais des Sports. The address is 34, boulevard Victor, in the 15th arrondissement.
I'll be checking in via Twitter when I get there, before the show starts, at intermission, when it's over and when I get home.
