To Stephanie Levin:

Dear Stephanie,

With utmost sincerity, I ask that you block my name from your viewing list. It has come to my attention that I am not reading your journal for any reason that is positive nor appropriate. A journal is a sacred space containing ones most inner thoughts and memories. If the author has allowed others to view his/her writings, it should be cherished and respected by all who view the journal. I have not upheld these views that I deem important to my moral code. I feel both ashamed and sorrowful for my immature actions. To say that I will stop reading your journal of my own accord would most likely be false. I have gotten quite attached to reading these entries, and am often provoked (as well as provoke) by others to view it. I admit I feel almost disgusting telling you this, but it is true. Thus, I ask you, please block my ability to read your livejournal out of favor for me and respect for you. Once again, I am truly sorry for my actions, and will do everything in my power to refrain from this action if you do not wish to grant me this favor.

Thank you,
Cecily McMillan

(P.S. I hope you did not take offence to this letter. My intent was not to come off as pretentious, or as "the bigger person." I apologize if it read that way. You are welcome to continue to view my livejournal if you wish, I have no problems concerning this matter. Furthermore, I wish you a lovely summer and success in future academic/career endeavors.)

stephanie
