Recently read (all from my Hugo list):
Max Gladstone, _Full Fathom Five_. This is back to the gloriousness his first novel, I really enjoyed it. It's about belief structures, emergent properties, belief, and justice. With a strong undercurrent of magical bureaucracy. And a coincidentally trans protagonist.
Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips, _The Fade Out vol 1_. Engaging behind-the-scenes noir graphic novel, I'm looking forward to the next volume!
Mike Carey _The Girl With All The Gifts_. This is a zombie book, but it's quite unusual for a zombie book. Kind of depressingly hopeful.
A. Merc Rustad, _How to become a robot in 12 easy steps_. A beautiful and heartbreaking dysphoria/coming out story, recommended by
rmc28.

Coming soon: maybe squeeze in a few Hugo stories?
Also!
Er, can I say hot-chocolate-and-rum or did I already use that up? Damn. Maybe I should make another.
