Stories I Want--SGA My favorite wife
Does this exist? If not, *whine on* whhhyyyyy? *whine off*. I've dreamed this story twice so far. I want to read it so bad I might have to write it. I have the whole scene in my where John escapes from his debriefing because he's exhausted and hasn't seen his family in 7 years and it's the only thing that's kept him going. The last thing he wants is to spend hours trapped in a room being questioned by the brass.
He goes to the house, praying Rodney is still there, with no reason to hope he is. He asks the cab to wait, but the mailbox still says Sheppard-Mckay on it and his key still fits in the lock.
It's all there. The reunion with the kids, Rodney coming in, the tears, the kisses and gentle touches until the new spouse comes in and Rodney has to introduce her. He doesn't think, doesn't look back at her for a moment but chases after John when he leaves.
John looks back through the cab window and sees Rodney standing there with her hand on his shoulder, wedding ring picking up the sun and his heart breaks. For the first time in 7 years he loses hope.
Yeah, not so much the romantic comedy as the original versions. And the worst part is that I'm not even into SGA very much anymore so I have no idea where the hell this came from.
