OMG! Leverage and White Collar squee, squee, more squee and squee again

Pretty sure I just watched my new favorite episode of each show.

Leverage-With the Roshamon job, they pretty much gave me exactly what I said I'd be happy with at the beginning of the season, the crew sitting around in a room together teasing each other for a whole episode and it was just as good as I thought it would be. Better.

I knew from the minute Sophie bumped into the Doctor that it was actually Eliot and kudos to the original actor for pulling off a perfect Eliot, smarm, accent, desire to jab a knife into things and all. The others were not so obvious. I knew Parker was the blonde caterwaiter because she's done that role for a theft several times and it took me a while to get Hardison because he was nowhere near any tech and the actor read so much thicker than Hardison.

The Sophie's accent thing was awesome,(and kept me giggling hysterically) as was everybody reading the head of security as a hardass except Nate because that fits with their natural criminal instinct to be wary and resentful of someone like him.

This episode was just so, so delightful. Funny, lighthearted, affectionate--like a big ole love letter to the characters, the way they see themselves and each other and the way we see them.

White Collar-Prisoner's Dilemma or a variation on rule #1. I know they're just running a long con on us with the threesome and slash nods but still, the only thing this ep was missing in terms of perfection was June, and P/E/N in the same room together.

things that made me giddy.

\0/ El is back! Date night! Neal inviting himself into datenight . Even after he knew it was date night.(And see there's that threesome nod thing they're doing) And OMG I don't know what was hotter, Peter in the jeans and a tee or Peter having a pot roast in the oven.

Neal and Peter continuing to pretty much have mutual public orgasms over how smart the other is, with both bragging about how only Peter could catch Neal twice because he's the bestest FBI agent and indeed law enforcement officer in the whole entire world. And how Neal knows everything/i> about art and wine and cars and can do anything Peter asks of him faster and better than anyone else.

Mozzie and El having date night and enjoying themselves. Neal giving that tiny little flash of something--jealousy was my read, when Jones said Moz was Peter's other CI.

The Brother from Another Planet aka the fantastic and always welcome Joe Morton.

Moz letting Peter use Tuesday because he kind of likes him and sort of trusts him and Moz abandoning Tuesday because he's Moz and paranoid and also a criminal and damn good at what he does and that was so in character and such a smart, logical thing for the show to do.

Coop!

Jones and Diana being all stealthy/sneaky.

Neal stealing the key, and contemplating using it to go to the art exhibit. Which no doubt would have earned him a spanking...which reminds me. Safewords!

Okay and seriously the obvious comparisons the show is making between Neal/Peter and Rebecca/? seriously I blanked on his name and IMDB will not help me.

And just in case we missed it, they let both Peter and Neal make the comparison. I really love that they made a point from the beginning that they are friends, and depend on each other, not just criminal/handler

my only quibble is that the Burkes need a smoke detector. okay and well the Kate stuff because my tv watching gut tells me she's still alive and so every second spent trying to find her killer is a waste of time

whitecollar, doesn't get better, leverage, squee, for me!
