It seems to be that the St. Clair River is my muse, at least for photos. I love how every moment it is different. It's the most powerful river I've ever seen, with it's strong, swift current and profound depth that makes the water reflect the sky in many ways. It was named after St. Clair, a follower of St. Francis, and the origin of clairvoyance. I'm looking forward to swimming in a month or so - it's a challenging water treadmill!

My family is away in Australia for 3 weeks and I'm home alone with my cat. Processing the break-up was intensified by being alone in this big house, which was difficult but also helped me release emotions openly and in a relatively short time. It has also provided the PERFECT opportunity to work on my album!!! The living room (with windows opening to the beautiful river) is now my makeshift studio. I'm almost done adding orchestras of harmonies and tinkers on the piano to the live versions I recorded with Liz a few weeks ago. I'm really satisfied with what's come through so far!! I have three songs left to finish, and from there I will be adding hand percussion and banjo played by some friends, after which it will be mixed and mastered by a man with two amazing ears for music, Adam Miner.

Everything is falling together perfectly. Even the packaging... I'm going to be hand-crafting each CD as a little work of art, as an incentive for a downloading society to buy an album. I'll also look into getting the album on iTunes.

In work news, I'm moving into a different section of community services: transportation. So now I'll be helping to orchestrate getting people in the community who are elderly or disabled where they need to go. I get to use a radio all day like a trucker, which is fun. We have a list of radio codes (i.e. 10-4) and I learned that 10-81 means "Could you reserve a hotel room for ____". A whole new world of language!

I feel really good lately, no doubt because it's Spring, I'm living my passion, and reminding myself to be present. I've also been meditating often, what a treat. I've been going to yoga at a local studio called Mandorla, with the best yoga teacher I've ever known!!! :)

Life is goooooood. I give great thanks for this presence!
