It's all about balance
I've composed, and re-composed, this post in my head many times over the last few months. And yet this is the first time since May that I've even logged into LJ. It's not that I have a lack of things to say. Actually, I may have too much at this point. Too much, and not enough time to write about them all.
It also kind of feels like I've been away from my hometown for so long that I'm not entirely sure how to go back. I need to ease myself back into the world. So, right now I'll just stick with the highlights of the last couple months.
1. Tomorrow is Moving Day! S and I closed on a townhouse on June 20 (yay!) and we finally are moving in tomorrow. I've spent most of my at-home waking hours packing, painting and reassuring the kitties that I'm not running away.
2. I went to CA. Hung out with thousands of librarians in Anaheim, them saw my family Inland. It was divine and sunny and invigorating. Quite possibly the best therapy for what had been ailing me. (and I also got to see marypearson and tanyaleestone!)
3. Friends have married and babies have been born. Two of each in the last month. And I got to try out my hand at wedding photography in the process.
4. I've been working like a madwoman. Our Reference Librarian has been out on leave for five months now, so I'm Acting Reference Librarian. And Teen Librarian. And it's summer reading time. Argh!
5. I'll be dyeing my hair pink on July 31. I will post pictures.
