That Explains It!

I just read that tonight is a Blue Moon (the second full moon in a month). That totally explains why work was so bizarre last night. And why, barring a huge downpour, I'll be donning the bear suit in about two hours. Strange things always happen at the library around full moons. We have a 48 hour theory here...for up to 48 hours before and after the full moon the library is susceptible to oddities. And I'm guessing that the Blue Moon factor ups the weirdness quotient.

In (somewhat) unrelated news, I'm currently reading Rosemary Clement-Moore's new book Prom Dates from Hell, and I'm thoroughly loving it. The main character, Maggie, is a believable teen voice with a sassy streak a mile long. (If I went to Avalon High I'd definitely want to be her friend.) Though, the premise of the story (evil forces infiltrating the high school) has me a bit spooked. I've been having strange, vivid dreams a la Maggie Quinn. With the Blue Moon and all, I'm a bit worried that the dreams will start coming true!

Edit: According to NPR a blue moon is actually the fourth full moon in a season (generally there are only three)
