Back.

I am back from Italy and almost organised again.
We stayed more than two weeks there in the end because the weather was just too fantastic to return back home. 40+C most of the time which is just perfect for me but I have to admit that it was far too hot for Amadeus. He spent most of the time in the hotel room. It was getting cooler in the second ( Read more... )

Welcome back!!

I am thrilled to hear that you had such a relaxing holiday! I am with Amadeus on the heat though *laughs* But I would have found ways to deal with it easier than a poor doggie with a coat of black fur - poor guy! It is wonderful that you found a good hotel that was dog friendly too!

I am also quite happy to hear that you are finding your creative side again and that you are writing again. Wonderful! I hope that I might find my way back to that again too one day. Yes, I remember those King Arthur character icons that you made and I'm glad that you are now revisiting that story!

I have read Outlander too - I would agree - too much of a romance for my taste as well. I thought the constant sex and focus on their intimacy was a bit much - I would have preferred more action and plot. And I don't see that female lead role as that strong of a woman - something is just not right about her. I have met the author and she's quite nice and all - I did not comment on what I thought about her book though. *laughs* It was a brief meeting at that historical novel conference back in London.

Cornwall!! I wish I was once again able to jump into your car and go with you! Visit Tintagal for me! I've heard that Golitha Falls are stunning to visit: http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/countryside/public-rights-of-way/accessible-walks/golitha-falls/?page=13380
But anywhere in the area would be stunning to visit!

And yes just let me know about PS once you are settled on whatever computer you end up with. Glad your Yahell still works too. *laughs* I am still not moved, but I will let you know once I am back on YaHell too. Maybe once you return from Cornwall we can catch up live online!!

Take care, Sweet Pea!

PS. I just received a text message while I was typing this - from the Princess, she is in a Toronto airport awaiting a flight home to Houston. *laughs*

Amadeus was the king at the beach. So the days I was able to take him with me were just great for him. Another guy asked me if he is famous or something because everyone was so excited to see him around…

I still hesitate to let the writing just happen. I still fear that I will lose creativity again and what I do want the last is another unfinished piece of writing. So we will see. I want to re-read that prologue I wrote again tonight. If I like it I will probably give it a try. If not… hm, hmpf. Throw it away *laughs* I am sure you will return to writing one day too, dear. There is just too much happening around you right now you have to focus on! I assume this was the reason why I gave up writing, too. So, I plan to fight for this creativity as I am not willed to lose it again.

The romance and sex part is getting betting during the second book. I have no idea if it will stay like this or not as I assume there are 7 or 8 books out now. I planned to make it through all of them but well, I am just reading part 2 so not sure if I will be successful or not. At least I find some parts of the story inspiring as I did when I read the “Mists of Avalon”. So we will see. I agree: something is not right about that woman and the guy is just a poor thing - what happens to him in the first book is more than others went through in a lifetime. But VERY kind of you that you did not tell her what you really think about the book! I am proud of you.

Tintagel is a must-see-point on our list already. I will certainly check that link you posted! Thank you, dear.

So now we are all back home again *laughs*

Take care, sweetheart!
Charlie.
