What's wrong with this picture

Twitter is looking more and more like a one of those disaster movies that were popular in the Seventies, like Earthquake, dead bodies and fires and screaming people all over the place, and I just don't know what makes it all that better than Blogspot, or Wordpress, or even this creaky old thing, home of my first actual online diary that was run by diary software, not just me playing around with html on Geocities.

Why not come back here? I guess the drama and fights won't be as immediately visible as they are on Twitter, right in your face, you'll have to wait for them to appear on someone's site and in someone's friend feed. But look at all the characters you get to use? Goodbye tweet chains, hello long rambling posts about anything at all.

And it's way harder for trolls to bother you here. Just set things up so non-members can't comment. Of course that doesn't guarantee members won't act up, but such is life.

I don't know. I don't have that much to say these days in blog form. Maybe this is just what I need.
