Aliki on ChickClick, Estronet, and now Livejournal
Hi, I'm Aliki. I joined ChickClick during my freshman year at college in 1998. I was 18 years old and 1,000+ miles from home. I followed on to Estronet, where I think I'm still listed as the General Topics moderator! I've used the nickname Aliki on all sites (ChickClick, Estronet, and now Livejournal).
Let's see... since 1998, I graduated from college with a degree in Biological Sciences, went on to get my Master's in Marine Ecology, worked as a marine biologist for a couple years (which did not pay well), so I'm now 27 years old and two weeks away from completing my first year as a high school marine biology teacher. I met someone in 2001 and have been married for almost 3 years. We enjoy the company of our two dogs and three cats.
I was a shy, quiet, introverted girl in 1998. In hindsight, all I probably did was lurk on the ChickClick/Estronet boards, read the posts, and wish I was half as cool as some of you out there. Corny as it sounds, the boards really helped me grow into the person I am today. I miss y'all!
