We can be Heroes.

Last night i met a hero.

A hero in the true sense of the word, not a movie star, not a sports star. A man who risked his life for someone he didn't know. Only to have it pulled literally from his grasp not once.. but three times.

Tuesday the 18th of November was a dark day for the South Coast town of Tarthra. A man Shane O'neil dies while trying to rescue his two young children, Riely and Travis, when they fell several metres into the 2mtre swells of the ocean below the Wharf they were fishing from.

Rob Brown, a bloke from our local, jumped in to try to save them. He battled in the cold waters as the swells knocked him against the pylons, trying to rescue the pram with young Travis, around the same age as his own son, however the power of the waves kept ripping it from his hands and dragging it under...

He doesn't feel like a hero, the pain on his face last night as he sat to have a quiet drink with his mates told it all. He failed to save that young child is all he can see at this time..

Rob. You are a hero to everyone in every sense of the word and your efforts will always be remembered.
