::HURRICANE IRENE:: AFTERMATH
ANNOYED!!!
Technically my area, was designated Tropical Storm Warning. Which ended up being rain, at different intervals and strength, as each band of the Hurricane passed, and high winds. We were quite a bit away from the coast and the eye of the Hurricane.
Now to my annoyance. Lost electricity on Saturday 11:10pm. Then the winds picked up. By Sunday morning 9:00am. Everything was once again calm. Soothing breezes, nothing serious. Still no electricity.
Went out, no BGE (Electrical Company), trucks out anywhere. No trees down in my neighborhood, or for a few miles around. Still by evening NO ELECTRICITY!
Didn't start getting annoyed, until Monday when was updated by BGE that we would get power back ON or BEFORE FRIDAY 11:30pm (w/ Blackouts into Saturday)... WTF?!!!
During the Blizzard, we got power back in just over 24 hours. A Tropical Storm, which they were oh so ready for, is going to take 6 DAYS for them to get us power back. And my annoyance went up.
Trying to hold it together for 2 more days, been getting alot of sleep though. By this weekend I'm going to have some serious internet time, catching up on fanfic reading, and tv shows.
Off to find some happy thoughts... [-.-]
