::HURRICANE IRENE::
What a week! First a M5.8 Quake, now a Category 1 (as it's classified right now) Hurricane.
I would take a Hurricane over a Quake any day, but really didn't want one of each in the SAME week.
Prepared as I can be for it. Hoping not to lose power, as I will surely go mental, since my ipod won't last but a few hours, and I'm the kind of person who's attached to my laptop like velcro.
So hoping for the best all around. [-.-]
We're basically got the Tropical Storm Warning!
As usual, everyone goes crazy when they tell you to prepare. Went to the grocery with my friend last night after our usual dinner, and the water shelves were BARE!
Didn't brave the groceries today, as my mum is awesome and always prepared. So only had to hit the bulk store and get extra water.
Been raining for the last 6 hours, winds aren't too bad, in the teens. But surely will be getting stronger as Irene gets closer.
So, off to have dinner, then wait it out. Planning to get 'chocolate wasted'... as my friend decided we'd be, since we bought 5 bags of chocolate as hurricane rations. [>.<]
