I just heard an update of the traffic situation.  The Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (west bound) has been closed since 6:30 this morning due to a water-main break.  Apparently,  the pumps can't keep up.  Coming at the beginning of a holiday weekend, this is really bad news.  Two to five mile back-ups are normal on a regular weekend in the summer.   ( Read more... )
