summertime

Don't you just love summer? After 3 consecutive sucky summers in a row, and 6 months of the hellishest winter ever, Munich has turned into a summer paradise. Ice cream every afternoon, evenings in the Biergartens (the best idea the Germans ever came up with, and considering what they've done for the automobile industry, that's saying a lot), and my personal favorite, lazy weekends with boy.

Quick update on him, he's lovely. And he likes my bikini. And we're going to Lisbon next weekend. Fantastic.

We started discussing the whole meet the parents deal this week. Looks like I'll be able to put it off until December (cool waves of relief), but he won't have to deal with it until next year when he comes home with me to witness the marriage of my namesake and one of my bestest friends in the whole world. And that's always assuming we even make it that long, and let's face it, I'm crap when it comes to stuff like that. Although he seems to be much more solid than most of the idiots I've dated for the past several years, so maybe I won't be able to frighten him off as easily.

And I must say it's been good knowing that I can go to sleep next to a warm, loving body every night, especially as all my friends seem to be having life crises right now, and I'm the one they decide to talk to about it. 3 nights this week I got hit with major serious conversations that depressed the hell out of me. Now, I know I was mega depressed over the spring, but how the hell can people be so down when the sun shines everyday and we're having warm weather that means lazy afternoons in Germany's greatest ever invention (see above)?
