What the shit is this?
Okay, powers that be, I've learned my lesson about downloading stuff. Very public-spirited of you. Now can I please have my laptop back? It's really not fun to log on to a blank screen with no icons or taskbar, and then have to navigate around using only what I can access through "My Computer". Though I s'pose I should be grateful I've still got this much use.
(...ass, that means I can't scan things in with any certainty. >_> Have to fix it quickly, then.)
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I try restoring factory settings or whatever? (I... can probably work out how do do that without the start menu. Possibly. Hopefully.) (I've tried turning it off and on again, in case you're wondering. :P But when it comes to how computers actually work, I could accurately be described as clueless.)
ETA: Also, am choking on own phlegm. This... this is less than ideal. o_o
ETA2: I've backed up anything I really can't bear to lose (including the music, oh holy hell does that include the music; I'm not losing that again if I have any say), and I'm searching around for any way of restoring the system or whatever. My uncle's on it too. Fingers crossed. x
