Doing what I do best....
Which would be avoiding work. Am alive. Will update more later, but I'm tired. Have to go back to Kansas tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it. So much to do before I leave and even more to do once I get there. I'm dreading United's forcasted four hour layover in Denver but maybe I can get some work done that I've been dodging this week.
What's happened in seven weeks? Did the three week gig in Kansas which turned into 'Hey, could you stay and put in Fixed Assets?' So I'm there until the end of the year, although they let me work from home the last three weeks. Galpal had baby girl and she was cute but very large (over 10 lbs). Everyone is doing well. Must say Baby Em is very cute, from Heidi's picture.
Sent my first text message tonight. CC's hubby is planning a big surprise bday party for her and I'm coming up for it. Because I'm coming to visit, CC decided she should have a disco party, making his plans ever harder. So she invites a mutual friend to come up and M manages to forward an e-mail I sent her to CC, which discussed how the disco party won't happen and the surprise party would be happening and we had to get her home after 6 pm. Great. Spent night calling around and finally got hubby who later texted me his plan to destroy the e-mail before she saw it. Hope he can nuke it as he's been planning since May and party is in two weeks. Drama! Had good chat w/ M who sounds very burnt out. I feel her. I'd think I'd be better due to the being home for three weeks thing, but all I want is a straight month at home alone so I can work on clearing some of the chaos. Today, all I really managed is a restacking of all the comic book boxes I have so now I have more room in my office.
But, at least I have work and I should be happy. Heard from J that his gig 'fell through' and he might be sent to something in Charlotte. Well, must be to bed as I've got TONS to get done tomorrow before I have to leave at 12:30 for my 2pm flight. Hope all is well w/y'all. Kiss kiss.
