General stuff and some fic recs...
I was looking through here and realised I hadn't done a "real life" update for a while.
To be honest, there's not a lot going on... I'm still only working part time; although I've just applied for a job at a school in Colchester. I've known this one was coming up for a while, so had the application practically ready, so at least it wasn't too stressful! (Writing job applications is torture!)
So anyway, I'm waiting to hear back from that - the closing date was today, and I should get an interview, so I've been thinking about what lesson to teach.
Being at home is definitely making me lazy... I get engrossed in either reading or writing something and then realise at 3am that I really ought to go to bed; so I'm getting up later and later in the mornings. I really need to re-educate my body clock at some point.
It's also given me time to write - I've got a couple of things practically ready to post and something else on the go, but after that, who knows...
And speaking of fic, I've been keeping track of the Studio 60 fics I've enjoyed so far. As with all the other stuff I recommended, it's only my personal opinion, so you might hate them, but here you go anyway. Of course there's a LOT of slash being written about the boys - and that's fine, it's just not really my cup of tea, but if I come across anyting particularly awesome, I'll let you know!
So, for those of you who don't know about it, you should check out studio60_fic - and for those of you thinking - "what was the name of that fic I read the other day and where was it?" here are a few things I liked.

The Cold Open threw open the floodgates for "clock" fic, so there are loads, but here are the ones I liked:
Closing Walls and Ticking Clocks by bexatious
and
.... and counting by khohen1
I really enjoyed Step 9 by lightgetsin - I thought the characterisation was very good and it made me laugh a lot; and I also liked My name is… by predictivememo
Oh, and not forgetting the J/D fic - dianora2 posted a new story recently - Nine Inaugural Balls - it's Dia - do I need to say how good it is? (Thought not.) - and salr323 posted a King Corn post ep - Hands on a Miracle. (Ditto.)
You've probably already seen them, but links are always handy!
