i met one of my (now) best friends off of livejournal, and i have another friend who i've met off of lj as well. they both go to rice, so every time i visit houston one of our favorite topics is journal us vs. "real life" us. in most matters, we agree that we're more relatable/endearing in life than in print (i speak of them, particularly). i'm told that i seem like much more of a party girl in life, however, and not at all as introspective as i come across in my journal. i think the truth is that i'm both.
it's weird to think we know all these things and question the way other people perceive us- but i'm really pretty sure that how we choose to let people perceive us and our reasons for doing so say much more about us than any of the things we're hiding or putting on show.
