You know you watch too much Alias when you accidentally add a teaspoon and a half of salt to your coffee at work, take a big swig, and with your mouth full what is obviously chemicals, slowly turn around and eye everyone in the lunchroom, considering who it was that laced the coffee with methylene chloride, before looking down and seeing the morton salt girl dancing gaily in the rain, mocking you. and then feeling like a tool while you dump the coffee into the sink while everyone wonders what the heck you are doing.
I fell down the stairs the other day, big time. Like all the way down the stairs, I was carrying a purse, a sweater, and a broiling pan and some shoes all of which slid out of my grasp The huge heels I was wearing didn't help, and I fell all the way down so hard, even rounding a corner before bashign my head into the wall. Two seconds later a housemate came down to leave, I have no idea if she heard the clamor, but I sat there at the botton of the stairs with all my stuff laid out around me like a yard sale, pretending to be on the phone. Before I could get my head and belongings together, one of my roomates came into the front door and I sheepishly mumbled "I'm waiting for my ride." Because what do you say? "I just bit it on the staircase, how are you doing?"
Today was pretty excellent. Amy and I chatted it up over coffee and bagels in the morning and then headed out to Wayland Square for a walk in the sunshine, it had to be at least 55º. (Sometimes I type the degree symbol because I've got the ALT+ code memorized. It makes me feel kind of cool in this dorky way.) So anyway, then visited her friend, Ben and we got some sushi at Sakura where the waitstaff were their usually abrupt selves, and a coffee at the Exchange to follow. I have also painted my nails, gotten some bro-ceries, started reading "Cracking the GRES" and done laundry. Today is high in productivity. Broductivity? Next I have some homework from the therapist and maybe some reading. I love not working on Sunday. It is the best.
