I finally had a serious ride on the new motorcycle. Yesterday I got it back from Lee's from it's overhaul. There are some things they found while they were working on it (some frame, fork and swing arm damage), but it is generally in much better condition now. Well, my new motorcyle just went from $2850 to $4225 due to parts and labor for a full tune up and some replacements (chain and sprocket). So not quite as good a deal as it was initially, but all things considered, still reasonable for a well rated 599cc racing street bike. I bought a motorcycle. Basically. Technically, I agreed to buy a motorcycle, but that's pretty much the same as buying it. It's a 2002 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6. Black with chrome bits and just a hint of blood red. The front and rear fairing are not to well off, so I'll probably be looking for replacements. In other news, I just finished purchasing a new motorcycle helmet, jacket, pants and gloves. The pants will come in the mail Tuesday-ish, everything else I already have as I priced it online, then went down to Lee's and bargained with them for the same deal. Sweeeeeet! :D
