HR peeve
As the senior developer here at the office, I manage the tech department and handle all technical job openings. We posted a job opening a month-ish ago and I have been recieving a new resume every so often. However, it really annoys me that of the several I have received, only one of them has actually been qualified for the job. More to the point, over half of the received applications have had NO COMPUTER SKILLS on their resume AT ALL even though they are applying for a Software Developer position!! It makes me want to flame them with some sarcastic "you idiot" response email, but it's really not worth the effort (and my time). It is patently obvious to me that they are just going through the motions of sending resumes to meet their unemployment requirements even though they know they have no hope of recieving the job, which is quite possibly the intention.
