Unearthing Old Stories

Mar 01, 2024 14:13

Spring is a time for cleaning, for clearing out old junk, and starting afresh. All the while discovering treasures in the trash, wondering how it got in the trash.

I’ve been unearthing old stories. Some of them are fanfics I’d forgotten. Many of them are unfinished.

There’s something about an unfinished story which makes me itch to complete it. I’ve got so many, I’m positively twitchy. :)

I think one of my problems is I’m overwhelmed. I’ve got so many stories to finish, I’ve been very slow about finishing any of them. At the same time, it’s exciting to have so many stories in progress. It’s been exciting, unearthing fragments of fiction I’d forgotten, recalling the memories and plans attached to them.

I’ve grown so much as a writer since I jotted some of these down. Some of these tales need to be completely upated.

Caught up in setting up and posting stories and poems at the Cauldron of Eternal Inspiration at inspirationcauldron.wordpress.com, I’ve completely forgotten about Blogging From AZ: April Project.

There is still the Cauldron at inspirationcauldron.blogspot.com, the one I only update when I’m Blogging From AZ. I’m going to do it there. I’ve already set up #QueerBlogWed and #Wednesday Words for April at the Cauldron I regularly stir.

This means I’ll be doing the usual Conversations with Christopher, Rainbow Snippets, Wednesday Words, and one Secondary Characters Speak Out in April at inspirationcauldron.wordpress.com.

I’ve already started setting up Blogging From AZ April Project: Character Complaints at inspirationcauldron.blogspot.com. The line up of characters will be a little different this year since it’s only the one.

In the meantime, I’m doing the usual activities in March, plus everything else I’m working on.

Wish me luck in completing or at least making progress on that everything. ;)
