Sort of a pattern...I'm using a slightly modified version of the "diamond waffle socks" from knitty: http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall07/PATTdiamondwaffle.html

I know I measured my father's foot late in the day...and while he was squashing it on the floor...so I (way) overestimated the size. Also, I was *kinda* missing out on a few dpns, so I substituted some with a size larger...and yes, I took a gaue with 'em, but I did it in the round and instead of using the four-inch swatch I did two inches. Which might have changed things up a bit.

Now I'm short on yarn...silly me; bought enough yarn for *women's feet*, not men's feet. Meh. I'll do the top band in a contrasting colour.

Yeah, Geeowgeea is giving me the crazies.

actually, I'll admit, that is a weirdo pattern, and I sure that's part of your problem. The lack of yarn is your fault though-- SHAAAAAAAME! *flails*

Yeah...it is very...different.

The cast-on and the weird stitch increase with wrapped stitches made me feel very incompetent and confused.

And I DO deserve to be shamed for buying such little yarn.

BUT LUCKY ME, I actually managed to find the same dye lot at the yarn shop. Hell to da yeah.
