The Composer's Proxy, Neku Sakuraba, arrived yesterday. I was able to make near-immediate contact with him through the Institute's bulletin board, as was the Composer, although it became evident that the Proxy held some form of resentment toward the Composer. At a later date, I was able to discover the source of this disharmony: the Proxy knows about the Composer's true identity and his manipulations of the Proxy throughout his multiple Games. However, this knowledge does not appear to have affected the stability of his Soul, which is operating at the maximal levels achieved at the end of the Proxy's third and final Game, natural personality quirks aside.
The Proxy still retains some of his Player Scan abilities, although observation suggests that he now picks up emotional wavelengths in addition to typical thought wavelengths. As the Imagination coding for the Player Scan is highly complex and impossible for normal humans to comprehend, the most likely source of this addition to the Scan is yet another Fallen Angel. This Fallen Angel's purpose is unknown, as the Institute does not contribute to the well-being of Shibuya nor to the Game in general. However, as the potential of the Institute as a Game site was recognized by myself and the Composer, it could be that the Fallen Angel is merely testing the extent of his/her influence.
Speaking of Games, the Composer is not faring so well in his against the Reaper Sho Minamimoto. With three days remaining until Minamimoto's proposed Ending, the Composer has yet to identify any potential Partners or obtain necessary supplies, although this is not because of negligence on his part. Although as a Higher Being I must ultimately remain impartial to the results of the Composer's Game, I have tried to assist him in locating individuals other than the Proxy with particularly notable Imagination. I am at this moment unable to confirm any of those patients I have approached as suitable candidates for the Composer's Partner for this Game.
If the Composer and I are unable to find a Partner for him by the final day, there is no doubt that the Composer will request his Proxy as his Partner once more. However, with relations between Composer and Proxy as they are, I suspect that significant influence on my part may be required to gain the Proxy's cooperation. I have promised the Proxy pins; whether these will provide the needed leverage remains to be seen.
