Back in Virginia.  Tired.  On Friday I drove down to Virginia with my parents (in two cars--Mom rode with me at the beginning, then finished the trip in Dad's car) and completed the trip fairly late, close to midnight.  We got slowed down for a few exits due to some road work on I-95.  That didn't stop me from staying up all night watching Lost with Lee though.  We had to make up for lost time!

Ever since I've gotten back, that's pretty much been the trend: do what I have to do during the day, then watch Lost all night.  Quite honestly I don't know how I got to be so addicted.  I can spot the ways the writers are emotionally manipulating me (in part thanks to my recent study of fiction writing) but it still works.  I usually don't get addicted to TV shows, either.  Still, it's a nice thing for Lee and me to share.  We'd probably stay up all night anyway for one reason or another; might as well be doing it together.

Anyway, my parents came down to Virginia because they had to help sort out my grandmother's things in Williamsburg.  My father's mother died a few months ago and last weekend was the weekend for her three children to sift through the family photos and documents and letters, plus the furniture and jewelry and plates and silverware she left behind.  I drove out to Williamsburg on Sunday and spent some time with my aunts and uncles, which was nice.  My uncle Tom especially loved my Sir Gawain book, which of course my parents showed him.  It was nice to get some praise.

My mom hasn't been feeling well the last few days (we think it was food poisoning from some crab she had at a restaurant a few nights ago) so my parents had to cut short the visit in Virginia.  Lee and I had dinner with them last night and lunch today, but that was all we could manage.  They also got to marvel over how big Bossy Boots has gotten and how sweet and calm Arthur is now.

I haven't talked about my kitties yet on this journal, have I?  I've talked about my neighbors' window kitties but not my own.  I really need to fix that!
