Still Alive... Barely

Sorry I haven't been posting lately. A lot of stuff has been going on, both good and bad. So here's a run down of things...

Frankie's Surgery:
After meeting with Dr Lightdale for the final consult, her opinion changed. In the little over 2 months since she had seen Frankie, his left thumb has gotten weaker while his index finger stronger. It's basically becoming a thumb on it's own. Her original suggestion was still a possibility, just the chances of being successful weren't as high. So after a lot of talking and researching and thinking, we made the tough decision to go ahead and remove the thumb.

We know in the long run that it's probably the best choice, but it's still hard. Not to mention I'm getting major shit from members of my family. All of my friends are being supportive (or at least acting like they are) and so is Tom's family, but there are several of my family members who think we're making a huge mistake. One of them of course is a member who sent her son to Physical and Occupational therapy because he was left handed and she didn't want him to be different from the other kids!

They've rescheduled his surgery several times and it'll probably change again, but right now it's scheduled for April 21st... Great, in the middle of Script Frenzy! EEEEEEKS!

Sickness:
I was still fighting the damn cold I've had forever and this past weekend, Frankie got the flu that's been going around. We freaked because there was an outbreak of RSV at his school, and that's NOT a good thing for him to get. Luckily, he quickly got better and I got worse. Turns out he gave me the RSV... Poor guy doesn't understand why I have to hug and kiss him through a mask.

School:
I found a school online and will be taking classes in Creative Writing and Writing Stories for Children. Can't wait to start...

Renovations:
Slowly but surely, we're starting renovations on our place. Up first is we tore down the shelves in the area we use as the "office". They were all different sizes, colors, styles, and heights. We're going to Home Depot this weekend to buy some that blend in and look better.

Glee:
Thank God it's back! I think it's sad that we spent our entire State refund on downloading all the songs we wanted but haven't downloaded yet. Sad huh? And Brittany is so fricking hilarious, I love her even more!

That's all for now, I'm about to pass out. I promise I'll try to be on more.
