Meme!

Courtesy of the wild, wacky, talented, recently newly employed and all round mensch pdragon76. A meme. Not my usual thing, but this one is sufficiently rambling and interesting. Lets hope my answers are equally interesting...

If you wish to take part, then:

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

My answers to pdragon76's questions are below the cut

1. Where ARE the wild things?
They've just moved in to the apartment above me.

2. Somebody gives you a houseplant. What are its chances?
Excellent!! My friend gave me a plant as a housewarming gift 9 years ago - it's still going. :)

3. Kyle Reese or Dwayne Hicks. You has to choose one. And tell me why.
Dwayne Hicks all the way, baby! After Dean Winchester, probably one of my favourite characters ever. Why you ask? Let me count the ways...
1. He's hot
2. He's an extremely capable, kickass marine
3. He's cool under pressure and has natural leadership
4. He understands, believes and supports Ripley - and fancies her. Even gave her an engagement ring, I mean tracking device
5. He likes kids. One of the best bits in the movie is when they're all gathered around that table thing, looking at the blue prints and trying to find the colonists. Newt can't see past everyone so she goes to Hicks who without a moment's hesitation stops and lifts her up on to the table so she can see. Such a small moment, but I loved it!
6. He's gorgeous
7. He's ready to take out Burke for what he did to Newt and Ripley
8. He keeps Hudson in line
9. When Ripley is losing the plot after Newt is first taken, he just gets her the fuck out of there! Getting burnt with acid in the process... *sad face*

4. Are you a sweet or a savoury gal?
Mmm... savoury. Salt and Vinegar crisps. My downfall.

5. Under what circumstances did you view your very first Supernatural episode? What epi was it, and did you know then? Or did it take time to seep in?
Ooh, story here. Let me bore you with it. An online friend had been trying to get me to watch it for about a year - but it held no appeal for some reason. Then in 2007, at the height of my Prison Break fannishness (how that has shrivled and died) someone on my flist made a Supernatural video and I watched it. All of a sardine, I was sooooo interested. I spent the next week trolling the internet looking for everything I could on the show, especially through Supernatural TV. It was the time that What is and What Should Never be was showing, so I downloaded that and watched it. Completely out of sync I know, I wanted to know what the hell was going on with these brothers! So that weekend (one week after the fan video) I took out season 1 and watched the entire thing in 4 days. I think I watched 10 episodes in a row on the Sunday. Lol. As I'm sure you remember, the first few episodes were a bit formulaic, but by Home and Dean's desperate call to his dad I was thoroughly hooked. Haven't looked back. And What is is still one of my favourite episodes.

So there we have it! Hope you don't regret those questions. Heh.
