*shakes head*
I wrote a short recently inspired by a fellow writer. 4k and a few days later I’d finished. It came so quickly and so easily.
Then a few days later a good friend suffered a family loss and to cheer her up I said I’d write a short for her, with a happy ending. Something I’d not done before.
Well 10K later, plus a predicted 5k IF I keep within the framework I have, I’m not finished yet.
To make matters worse the scenes I have make a few too many leaps of faith so really, for it to make sense and be believable, I need to add more, extend the timeline within from a month to a year. That means more scenes, more words, another character.
I’m even thinking of changing it from one narrator to two. More words.
This is growing.
So what to do?
I have notes on the missing scenes, enough to remind me later. Possible extras aren’t that developed yet, not even in my mind.
The two other WIP’s are not due by deadline. They are all just my work, intended to be published eventually but I’m still learning and improving.
So do I continue this Novella? Or go back to the Novels (both half done)?
*sigh*
