One funny story that happened to me while on my "half-vacation" -->

The 7 of us, my family and what was there of the Snyder family, decided to go out on the boat on the beautiful Lake Michigan. It was a gorgeous day outside. The weather was hot, but not humid, sunny with not a cloud in the sky, and the lake was as placid as a senile goldfish. A wonderful day to go boating. We cruised out of the harbor with lunch sandwiches, chips, fresh cherries, and wine. We stopped in a small bay off the shore of North Manitou island. There, we ate our delicious lunch. After satisfying our hunger, we decided to tool around the rest of the island searching for a good sandy place to anchor and take a swim. We found a nice spot on the far side of the island, facing the great expanse that was the rest of Lake Michigan.

After swimming for a good while, we headed back towards the mainland, taking a route along the coast so as to openly and enviously gawk at the expensive beach houses lining the shore. We stopped again at my behest as the water was clear and deep. I wanted to swim again. After everyone climbed in for at least another dip to cool off, Dave decided to start tossing cherries at my head while I was swimming around. After I realized his ploy, I picked a sinking cherry out of the lake in front of me, I ate it while treading water, and I spat the pit out to watch it sink to the sandy bottom. I greatly enjoyed this little activity. It brought me great amusement. So I asked for another cherry to be tossed to me from the boat. This time, my dad threw it. I plucked it out of the water and popped it in my mouth. I LOVE cherries, especially fresh black cherries. My brother and Tantzi started asking for cherries as well, and soon it was a fiasco similar to feeding the waterfowl or some dolphins at Seaworld.

It was by far the best part of the day - terribly amusing and strikingly memorable. Good times.

Also, today I finally received my birthday cake. SURPRISE! It is a little over 3 months late, but it is all green and has lots of frosting flowers and fun polka dots, so I am very pleased. I might post a picture later. ;P

Also, the movie French Kiss with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline is a great movie. I enjoy watching it every single time that I see it.
