(no subject)
Any recommendations for very distracting popcorn fiction that is easy to read and will keep my mind on other things (Anita Blake was my drug of choice while Dad was sick, but I'm looking for something with a whole lot less sex).
I've read everything that Tanya Huff, Mercedes Lackey, David Eddings, Heinlein, McCaffrey, Laurell K Hamiliton, Nora Roberts/JD Robb, JK Rowling and Tamora Pierce have published at this point. I've also read a good bit of SM Stirling's stuff... maybe I'll haul out Dies the Fire again*. But ideas would be good. Easy to read, wherein the characters have way more problems than even I have right now.
* Yes I read other stuff too. These are just my fallback authors, whose name alone will usually sell me the book.
