essay update
It's nearly 1am. I have about 15 hours till this blasted thing's due in - and at this rate I'll need every second of those 15 hours! I've currently got about 840 words.
This is not going well.
Am currently entertaining the distinct possibility of not going to bed tonight. James is meant to be ringing me tomorrow evening (10pm, after the Sunderland-Burnley match, which is on Sky Sports so I'll have to nab the common room away from the posh lot...It's about time they stopped having the monopoly on the telly, and besides, when was the last time I actually wanted to watch something on there...?) I have warned aforementioned boyfriend that I may well be distinctly incoherent and falling asleep due to this stupid essay.
Jess - I think I may be slipping into question 7 (the one about 'other' and power)!!!
Edit: 1:07am and I've got about 1,100 words. I may yet be able to get some sleep.
Edit 2: 2:07am and I have 1,120 or thereabouts. I've done 110 words in one hour. This is BAD.
Edit 3: 3:20am. 1,400 approx. I don't really want to go to bed till I've got it all done, but if it gets to 4.30am and I've not done (which is looking likely), I'm going to go to bed for about 3 or 4 hours and then finish the bloody thing off. I'm aiming for the 1,800 lower-10% word limit. My essays are usually concise anyway, so it's not exactly anything unusual in me being slightly below the 2,000 limit.
Edit 4: I've got 1,650 or so. I just need to write the introduction and finish off the conclusion definitely. It's 3:45am and I'm going to set my alarm for 8am. 4 whole hours.
