Challenge 6: Big Shot Showrunner Part 1 - The Pitch
-Story synopsis. (50 pts)
Professor PI follows the exploits of Ariana Pista, a literature professor at the renowned University of California, Berkeley. She is busy juggling teaching, research, writing, family and social life, when one afternoon she discovers the dead body of a colleague in the Faculty Lounge. Involved despite herself, she finds she has a knack for crime solving, partly due to her propensity for seeing literary allusions in the case.
Bolstered by her success at solving this initial murder, she finds herself called in by the local police, friends and colleagues, to bring her insights to more crimes, which she manages to do while grading papers, supporting her grad student researchers, arguing with her parents, commiserating and competing with colleagues, and connecting with past, present, and future friends and lovers.
