A quick update on Yakima Ashley
I missed her daughter's (Madi) funeral on Saturday. I really wanted to go, but I couldn't figure out how to swing that with Alana. Alana won't drink from a bottle, and I don't pump much. The total driving time is 5 hours. The funeral, allow for an hour. Total time if I leave and come back immediately= 6 hours. Bringing your healthy baby to a baby's funeral= rude.
I emailed Rita to ask what happened and it turns out Madi's heart just stopped. Rita said there was a beautiful slide show of pictures of Madi, Ashley, Ashley's sister, parents, Luke (the daddy) etc holding Madi. Rita said she cried her eyes out. Ashley sang a beautiful song (her voice is amazing) to her daughter. I would have loved to be there, but couldn't swing it.
I emailed Ashley and told her that all of you have been praying for her and she's thankful.
