Too bloomin' hot!
As you might've guessed by the title I'm not overly impressed by the weather at the moment (not that I get that many comments on my journal - so not many people can read it!!) *Feels neglected*
Anyhoo - tis far too hot for poor Dee to compete in and yet we have been and will be doing so in the not too distant future (Regional Finals in just over 2 weeks - *gulp*). We went to a warm up at Wellbeck Farm near Sidmouth on Sunday just gone and won the class - only on 66% though, I was pleased to have won, not only my section but the Novice class overall (now part qualified for Winter semis) and that the score was ok considering what a bag Dee was! However I know she can do much better than that score wise - if she can pull herself together for the Regionals I think we can really do well. We've actually done a hair test on her to find out the source of her grumpiness which should come back in a week, apparently it can reveal whether its hormones doing it or the fact she's allergic to something in her feed! I'm interested to find out the results.
Finally I've got a part time job, at Peacocks a clothes shop in Oke. Not fantastic pay but at least it is regular work. I'm trying to save for next years livery, Dad is badgering me to but all of the money i've earned so far (about £500!) has gone on bills for competing and training and petrol. I'm putting my life on hold socially (not that there are any of my friends around atm) to save money and yet I still can't seem to be able to save anything. I pray that things get better as the Summer goes on or I am thoroughly stuffed! *ponders*
