Ok.... quick highlights. Went to 4 museums. Got a private showing of the Rosetta stone. Went to Camden...went clubbing in Camden where a guy gave me his boxers...? Windsor Castle tomorrow.
More detail... Didn't go to Scotland cause the website to buy a ticket wouldnt accept my credit card. O well. I slept instead, and watched Battle Royall and some doctor who instead. Ended up going to the V&A museum, the Science Museum, and the Natural History Museum all in one day. They were interesting. Spent Thanksgiving with Jeanne and her gaming friends...we essentially had an impromptu Turkey day with a chicken while playing a modified dungeons and dragons. Yup, geek and proud of it. Yesterday consisted of taking the bus into Camden, shopping around the area all dressed up *there are no goths in London!, only camden*, and buying socks. Yes, the one actual thing I have purchased here so far is socks.... Anyway, we went to the British museum. It said it was open till 11. Didnt tell us only the "first emperor" exhibition was open till then.... which cost 12 pounds when the rest of the museum is free. Jeanne and I talked to a nice security guard, and he let us into part of the museum. He gave us a private showing of the Rosetta Stone, and the rest of that room, then took us into the main exhibition for free where I saw a terracotta army. All I have to say about the nice security guard is *squee!*. We then proceeded to go Clubbing. It was interesting.... although far too many naked old men... bad, bad image. Also, there was some random cute guy in a kilt.... I asked if he was in a kilt or a skirt (its a skirt if you have something under it). He said it was too cold to not have something under, so I gave him a hard time for it. He said he would fix it. Next time I saw him, I asked if he was properly regimental yet. His response? "no, but wait, I will fix that". He then proceeded to take off his boxers then and there and throw them at me saying I could keep them. It was amusing seeing him try to get out of them drunk and in army boots.... He then laughed, looked a bit embarrassed, and left down the stairs. I tried to give him his underwear back but couldn't find him. O well. I gave them to a picture frame. So, club was from 10pm to 6am. We then left and hung out in McDonald's till 9 cause it was all that was open. Then back to the British museum to see it properly, and back here to sleep around 2 in the afternoon. And now that it is 4 AM and I have been up for 2 hours already I don't know what to do.... We will be leaving for Windsor castle in 5 hours....need to occupy myself till then i guess. Then london again Monday and home tuesday. Cant believe I am going already.... Sigh. Will have to come back to hit more and do scotland and ireland. I want to travel more. Damn you money.
