(no subject)
So.... I took another "snow" day. Ahem... I feel stupid. I did go into work 1/2 hour early. When I left my house it was raining but thinking of sleeting. When I hit 205 (maybe 15 minutes later) that rain had turned into a full blown snow storm and was coming down and sticking. I did an hour of work but the snow was still coming down so I took off for home. The main roads were fine but the side streets were a mess. I watched one guy slide right through a red light when he braked too hard to stop.
Well...naturally the pavement is now bare and was um.... not too long after I left. But not so soon that I felt like going back to work. I'll either flex my time or just take a personal day. I don't need all these time off though. Not with next week and the following off. Oh well. I'll go to work one day next week to make up for it.
I did start 3 small paintings actually so I feel less pathetic now. Yesterday seemed like a lost day. Dave came home early yesterday too though not for a snow day reason. No, it was because his new company laid off 25% of their workforce. Dave was not among them, thankfully. But it is disheartening.
